Apple and Amazon, a competitor to the technology and home entertainment industry, may once again become friends, as it is reported that the Amazon Prime Video application is about to launch Apple TV.
This initiative will end the user's biggest problem with Apple TV.
Amazon Prime video on Apple TV
According to Recode reports, familiar with the matter, Apple and Amazon recently reached the Amazon video application into Apple TV agreement.
The application will allow Amazon Prime Video subscribers to use Apple TV to watch movies and TV shows provided by the service.
Previously, users who wanted to watch streaming content on Apple TV had to use the AirPlay feature to connect another Apple device, such as an iPhone, to a set-top box. Amazon version of the video application is not a full-featured user, because users still have to visit the Amazon site to buy or rent content.
The Amazon Prime Video application specifically for tvOS will make it easier for users to browse services directly on Apple TV. The application can even be integrated with other Apple products such as Siri.
Amazon's employees believe the application will be released to Apple TV in the third quarter of 2017.
Apple, Amazon controversy
Amazon, along with Google's Chromecast, decided to remove the list of Apple TV from its online store, especially the Apple and Amazon-related conflicts with Apple TV and Amazon Prime Video. This is because Amazon does not want to sell its rivals to its FireWire product line because it only wants to sell third-party devices that support Amazon Prime Video, such as the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Roku.
Last year, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos even said that unless the acceptable financial model has been in place, the company's Prime Video service will not come to the fire TV competitor. From these statements, it seems that an agreement has been reached that may involve Bezos and Apple CEO Tim Cook.
There is no indication that Apple and Amazon will be Amazon Prime Video application to Apple TV to stop their controversy.
